About Isla

Meet Isla! She is a fabulous little French bulldog looking for her new home. Isla came to us when her owner was no longer able to take care of her.

Isla has had a difficult start to life, and as a result struggles to trust new people. It can take a few introductions before Isla will add you to her friends list, but when she does she is the most affectionate little girl! She loves to play and will run around our exercise field doing zoomies then coming back to you for a treat before setting off again!

She has lovely relationships with the kennel staff here at the rescue and we have really seen her settle and show us her silly personality. She has been slowly expanding her friends circle and getting to know some of our volunteer dog walkers.

What kind of home would suit Isla?

For Isla we are looking for an adult only home with people who have had experience with nervous behaviour. As Isla does not like strangers, her new family will need to be aware of this and continue the training we have started here at the rescue. We will give you full support in helping Isla overcome or manage her fears.

Isla is working on her behaviour around other dogs and is happy to walk with a calm dog but does not like them to be in her space, so would not be able to live with one. She cannot live with cats or small animals.
