Candy came into our care when she was found as a stray in our local area. She was unfortunately not claimed so is now looking for her new home. She is an older Shih Tzu, although we are not certain of her age due to having no history on her.
When Candy arrived into our care she was in a poor state, underweight and dehydrated. We’re not sure how long she was straying for or if she had been abandoned. She is a lovely little lady, she is very active for her age and loves to play with toys! When she gets excited she will give you a little excited howl which is adorable!
Candy struggles with her coordination and seems to have a condition affecting her movement. We are investigating this with our vet, however it does not hinder Candy, she still moves around well she just struggles up and down steps and can bump into things! We also believe Candy is deaf as she is usually fast asleep when we go into her room to see her, and will not notice us at all!
What kind of home would suit Candy?
For Candy we are looking for a quiet home where she can snooze the day away! She will not need much exercise, just a decent sized garden for her to have a potter around and a play if she feels like it. She would be ideal for someone just looking for a bit of company, with a bungalow or ground floor flat as she struggles with stairs.
