Ceri
1 May, 2020

Ceri was admitted in August alongside another Sec A Pony. She is a stunning pony who is great around people, however  Ceri is food possesive and will become very dominant around feeding time, and will harrass people for treats.   Ceri has been hand treated by people in her previous field, so she definitely associates new people with food, we do not hand treat at Freshfields, as we believe it encourages pushy behaviour, we are working with her to try and correct this behaviour, but this will have to be continued in her new home. Since being admitted, Ceri has seen the farrier and the dentist, and stood well for both. She has suffered from laminitis in the past, so her weight will need to be monitored. Ceri has addjusted well to being at the rescue centre, she mixes well with both mares and geldings. Ceri is looking for a hands on home where she will continue learning her social skills, she enjoys being groomed and being around people, she will make a lovely companion to a horse seeking company.
