Say hi to Ziggy!

Ziggy was brought to our rescue as he was having trouble at home. His previous owner had adopted 3 dogs who initially got along with Ziggy. Sadly, this did not last and the dogs began harassing Ziggy and making him feel unsafe at home. As the previous owner had said, it was unfair for him to be kept in that living situation, so now he is here with us.

Unlike many of the cats who come into shelter, Ziggy wasn’t very scared and settled in immediately. He loves attention and is always excited when staff or volunteers pay him a visit!

As you can see in his pictures, he has a bit of an overbite which doesn’t impact his health but does make him look quite goofy and unique.

Ziggy welcomes lots of pets and pampering. He also very much enjoys play and will bat around pingpong balls or little toy mice. He would be a great fit for someone who wants a cat they can play with a lot!

Since he is a brave and confident cat, we believe Ziggy would do fine in a home with children. We don’t know how he would handle living with other cats but this is something that can be discussed if you do have one.
Due to Ziggy’s past with dogs, a household with dogs is a big no.
