Meet Bentley

Poor Bentley arrived in our care after being found as a stray elsewhere in the country and not being claimed but despite his ordeal, Bentley is an absolute sweetheart. He loves people and greets everyone he meets with a waggy tail and the biggest smile. 
Whilst in our care Bentley has been a firm favourite with both the staff & volunteers, loving & playful, he can occasionally get a little bit giddy & forget his size.

Bentley did go into a new home for a very short time (6 days) but found himself back in rescue due to his play style. Staff & volunteers have not had any issues with this as we give him guidance & redirection to something else when he starts getting a little too excitable.

He can be a little strong on the lead and does get excitable sometimes but we are working on this and Bentley has been doing really well. He knows commands like sit, paw and down and he also travels really well in the car but can get a little whiney & over excited. He is a big fan of treats as well.

Bentley seems like he hasn’t had much socialisation around other dogs/other animals so can find things a little overwhelming but with space & guidance he is overcoming his insecurities really nicely but a new owner would need to continue to help guide him through with our full support.

As he is a large breed stray & due to his play style, we will be looking for a home with older children & no pets.
