Meet Chopper

He has found himself in our care through no fault of his own. His previous owners are in ill health & no longer able to care for him.

All of this information has come from his previous owner & we will be making our own assessments as we get to know him & may have to amend his profile as we go along.

Chopper has been with the same family all his life, he weights in at 33kg. He has a super sweet nature, very loving & loyal. He has come from a quiet household with occasional children visiting. Chopper has always been good around the visiting kids, can get a little playful but never grumpy.

Although Chopper has never lived with another dog, he did play with the neighbours dog in his younger days & says hello to others on walks but due to owners ill health he hasn’t been walked for awhile so we will reassess this once he has done his isolation period.

Chopper currently has some ear & skin issues, these could be due to allergies. Hopefully will know more as the treatment continues & we get to know Chopper better. Even though his ears are a little sore, he has been no bother with the vets for cleaning & treatment.

Chopper is strong on the lead initially but does settle down, we are hoping with regular exercise this will improve.

As Chopper is getting a little older we will be looking for a quieter household with no other pets. Depending how further assessments go, we may consider a household with an older well mannered, neutered female dog
