It’s now 6 weeks since we officially launched our ‘Time of Need’ appeal, and once again our kind and generous supporters have come to our aid. The appeal has thankfully brought in some much needed donations, and we now have a bit of breathing space in which to take stock and address our funding shortfall. There are never-ending bills to pay, and so many day to day expenses involved in running a busy rescue centre, which cares for over 550 creatures every single day!
Whilst we are deeply grateful for the one-off donations, what we really need now is to increase our ‘regular giving’. We know how hard it is in this climate, but even £6 a month helps us to plan ahead. It is incredibly helpful to know what’s coming in each month. We can make sure that our animals’ needs are being met in the most effective way possible.
Please, if you can, consider a regular monthly commitment – it’s less than the price of a posh coffee every week, and it helps our animals enormously!
We have a daunting task ahead of us, but with our Freshfields family and friends behind us, we remain confident of a better future for abused, abandoned and unwanted animals like Toby here. We will be there for him, as long as he needs us.
