We were alerted about two dogs that had been left alone in a property. Their owner had sadly passed away, and a family member contacted us. The family were very upset as the owner had loved the dogs very much but had become ill, and it was clear they had not been able to care for the dogs. Within an hour we arranged transport to collect the dogs and bring them to the safety of the rescue.

Maisie and Lady, both female Lurchers, were extremely underweight and needed to be treated for a flea infestation. Despite their ordeal,  they are very sweet natured girls.  We treated them for the fleas, and their sore skin and gradually built up their strength.  The girls were now safe and receiving all the care they needed.

They were a very bonded pair so we set about finding them a home together, not easy to find with two large black dogs.  We knew once we could get someone to meet them they would fall in love straight way with their beautiful souls and wonderful sweet nature.  And of course that happen and they went off to the happy ever after they deserved.
