ZEBEDEE AND DANIEL LEAVE THE RESCUE - WALES CENTREZebedee was originally admitted to Freshfields in 2012, and found a loving loan home where he remained for years. Unfortunately he was returned in July due to circumstances beyond his loaners control. Zebedee returned to the Wales rescue alongside his companion and best pal, Daniel the mini Shetland. They were a bonded pair so we would not split them, and began searching for their next loving home. Along came a wonderful family, who instantly fell in love with the pair, home checks were completed, and the rest, as they say, is history.Thanks to their new family for adopting from Freshfields rather than purchasing, and for sending the lovely update that they have both settled well and this beautiful photo of them both . The benefits of loaning a horse or pony from Freshfields, is that we offer complete back up, so if you are unable to care for them, for whatever reason, we will work with you to resolve any issues to try and keep you together, but will always welcome them back at the rescue centre if all else fails. Our former furious feline Jenny has had a major breakthrough whilst staying at the cattery. Jenny was an extraordinarily wild woman and would puff up and make herself big before charging windmilling her claws and trying to bite.However with the care of the cattery staff and our wonderful volunteers Jenny seems to be losing her distrust and fear of people and is fast becoming a playful and friendly girl who has swapped out and out violence for strokes and headbumps.Another example of love and patience winning the day. ... Happy National Black Dog Day to our beautiful bunch and others out there!Today we want to spread awareness about the stereotype that is Black dogs don't show their personalities as much as other colours would or that they appear angry or aggressive! Please look at our beautiful boys, Shankly, Kobie, Chester and Phoenix if you are looking to open your heart to a new companion then please consider having a look at their profiles, it is said that black dogs are often overlooked but in reality they deserve a loving fur-ever home just as much as the rest! Louise was rescued from a fur farm. She lost her best friend Thelma just 7 months after their rescue. We then unfortunately found a tumour behind her eye. If you think you could offer Lou a loving foster home, please get in touch at smallanimals@freshfields.org.uk #MondayMood
