Sirie and Kelda have certainly landed on paws and found a fantastic happy home with Pam and Ray. Pam got in touch to tell us how these 2 former Freshfields rescue cats have brought love and joy to the family, after a difficult year in which they lost 3 of their older cats within 12 months. Pam says:

“2016 was a horrible year, but with so many other cats needing loving homes, it wasn’t long before we were eventually back to Freshfields to find some furry folk to help us heal.

Molly became Sirie the Siren after her habit of luring people in and then drawing blood! She has been as challenging as expected, but we love her dearly, and she is much gentler and more relaxed now. Tibbles is now known as The Kelda (Terry Pratchett fans will understand that); we asked your lovely staff to recommend a cat that might mix well with our others and she was their choice.

There is still some swearing and hissing going on, both with each other and with our boy Leo, but they are settling down well. Leo also came from Freshfields, but in 2002 as a 4 month old feral kitten! He had suffered from cat flu and needed people who could cope with a feral. We do take the challenging ones!”

It’s great to see the love and happiness you’re all enjoying! Rescue cats really do deserve a second chance, and this is what can happen when you give it to them. Thank you for sharing with us, Pam and Ray, and we wish you many more happy years together.
