Honey arrived with us in quite a sorry state. She was given up by her owners having been used for breeding. As you will see from the photo’s Honey is suffering with swollen and infected nipples, she was suffering great discomfort and veterinary intervention was urgently required.

As a rescue and rehoming charity that regularly picks up the pieces in this type of situation Freshfields is understandably anti-breeding! All sorts of responsibilities come with bringing new life into the world and those responsibilities apply to every species of life. Our responsibilities also are also to the parent animals and at Freshfields we believe the best preventative is always going to be neuter first!
