About Shankly

Introducing Shankly! He is a lovely little Patterdale cross who is looking for his new home. He came into our care due to his owner becoming unwell and no longer being able to take care of him. He’s a typical young terrier who is full of beans and always looking for his next adventure!

Shankly can be a little shy to begin with but he loves people and is happiest when he’s on someone’s knee having a cuddle!

We believe Shankly has not been exposed to much in his short life and may have missed some early socialisation, therefore he can react to dogs and other animals on walks. The kennels team are currently working on this with him, helping him to feel calmer around other animals. His future family will need to commit to his ongoing socialisation and training, we can support you with this.

What kind of home would suit Shankly?

For Shankly we are looking for a home with people who are experienced with nervous behaviour around other animals and who can continue to help Shankly overcome this. He will need a quiet home where he can relax and feel safe. He cannot live with cats or young children.
