Beautiful Bailey originally came to us in 2016 as there was a new baby in the home, she didn't wait long to find a new home but has sadly found herself back with us once again due to the ill health of her owner.
Bailey had been a loyal and faithful companion to her owner who was heartbroken to have to part with her. We are very sad to see her back here and hope that she will not have to wait long to find a new home.
Bailey is a lovely girl, she is very cheeky and full of character. She can open doors and has been known to jump fences in her younger days! Whilst she has not done any of this in her previous home we are looking for a home for her with fencing of at least 6ft, just as a precaution. She can be reactive towards dogs on walks and does not like cats so will need to be the only pet in the home.
Bailey was used to visiting children in her previous home but would benefit from a quiet home where any children are over the age of 16.
Bailey has suffered with ear problems for most of her life but after an initial course of medication her ears are okay at the moment, however this is something that will need to be monitored in the future. She is very sensitive around her ears and can become upset when the vet examines her or administers ears drops, and will therefore need to wear a muzzle. However this is not a problem for Bailey as she is used to wearing a muzzle. As Bailey now trusts the staff we have been able to treat her without a muzzle as she is by no means an aggressive dog, just apprehensive.
Bailey's coat was quite dry and full of dandruff when she arrived with us but we have found that placing her on a hypo-allergenic diet has worked really well. This also helps to reduce any flare ups with her ears.
Bailey is in fantastic health for her age and is still full of energy, she is an active girl who can prove to be strong on the lead as she absolutely loves her walks. She also loves playing fetch, tennis balls are her favourite and she has quite the collection in her kennel.
Overall Bailey is a very friendly, sweet girl. She was reported to be clean in the home and is exceptionally clean here in her kennel too. We feel that she would be okay to be left alone for a few hours and really is no trouble at all. She will make a truly, fantastic addition to the family.
