In August Zeebo unfortunately suffered a disc injury to his back. Our vet did not advise surgery so Zeebo was placed on strict rest and pain relief. He has since made good progress and has started Physiotherapy, building up his walks each day. We feel he is now ready to be rehomed but would need to discuss this in more detail with any potential adopters.

Lovely Zeebo came into our care as the landlord did not allow pets at the property.
He has suffered with a skin problem for most of his life and was in a bit of a sorry state when he first arrived with us. His skin was red raw and he was covered in scabs that were cracked and bleeding. He was so uncomfortable and miserable that he barely wagged his tail, it broke our hearts to see him that way.

Zeebo’s current diagnosis is Dermatitis and he is now receiving all of the treatment that he needs to keep this under control.
It has been so rewarding to see him transform and now that he is more comfortable he has a new lease of life! He bounds around our exercise field and has started to play with toys. He currently lives in our staff room and makes us laugh everyday with his human-like antics! He truly believes that he is a little lapdog!
Zeebo is such a lovely, gentle boy. He is very placid and loving and just wants to place his head on your lap for cuddles. Anyone who meets him instantly falls in love with him.
He has grown up with and lived with young children and has never displayed an ounce of aggression in his life, however due to his age feel he would be best suited to a quieter home where any children over the age of 12.

Zeebo is good with other dogs and we feel he could live with a compatible dog in his new home. He was even gentle towards the family hamster and has shown no reaction towards the cats in the cattery here so may also be able to live with a cat. However if Zeebo is to live with cats we would be looking for a home local to the rescue so that he can spend some time there getting to know the cats before adoption.
Zeebo is clean, non destructive and happy to be left alone for a couple of hours. He also travels well in the car.

Zeebo will require a hypo-allergenic diet and will need medication on/off for the rest of his life to manage his skin condition. Please do not let this deter you from offering this amazing boy a home, skin conditions are easy to manage once you have found the right treatment.
In the past Zeebo did have surgery to repair a luxating patella and recent x-rays taken here in May 2019 have shown that there have been no complications or further degenerative changes associated with this previous operation.
These x-rays did show that there are signs of osteoarthritis in his lower back and hind legs which he is already receiving daily supplements to support and no further treatment is needed for this at the moment.
Due to this Zeebo will not be suitable for an active home and can only manage short walks.

Overall Zeebo is such a sweet, super friendly boy with a huge heart. You cannot help but fall in love with him. We are desperate for him to find a loving home and know he will make such a fantastic companion.
