Simba

Stunning Simba came to us after his owner had signed him over to a veterinary practice when he became very poorly and they could not afford to pay the vet bills.
Simba was showing signs of severe malnutrition including anemia and an intestinal infection. He was completely emaciated when he arrived with us, weighing just 13.2kg.
Simba has now made a full recovery and is ready to live his life to the fullest!

Simba is a dainty, delicate, sweet boy who is absolutely full of fun and enthusiasm! He loves to make new friends and is a very lovable, affectionate dog.
He is a bright boy and like most collies LOVES to play with toys, he would really thrive in a home with someone who could dedicate time to teaching him some fun tricks!
A very active home is an absolute must for Simba with someone who can provide him with all of the exercise and stimulation he needs to keep his busy brain working - he would really enjoy getting stuck into some enrichment activities.

On walks Simba can become worried by traffic so will benefit from a confident handler, however once he is away from the busy rescue environment he is a fantastic boy with so much potential.
Ideally we would like to place Simba in a home experienced with collies or similar high energy breeds. As he is so young he will also need a home with someone around for most/all of the day.

Simba has previously lived with young children but as he is a very bouncy and lively boy we are looking for a home where any children are over the age of 16 - he can be very over enthusiastic at times!
Simba is curious and playful around other dogs but since being in kennels his opportunities to socialise have been limited and he can prove to be too intense for most dogs. He has previously lived with a cat and may be able to live with a confident cat in his new home.

Overall Simba is such a smashing boy who will make a brilliant addition to the family. He desperately deserves some stability after everything he has been through.
