About Ollie

Meet Ollie! He is a medium-sized (think oversized Whippet)  lurcher looking for a new home. 

Ollie is 2, he came to us after his family struggled as he didn’t settle with the other resident dogs.

He is a typical lurcher, he is exceedingly sweet-natured, warm, and affectionate to everyone, strangers and regular acquaintances alike.  You just need to meet him to immediately feel the love!

As a playful boy, he adores time on our field. One of his favourite things is playing ball and of course he loves zommies  when he has the chance.  Then he likes nothing better than to cosy up in a nice spot and have a doze.

Ollie is very well behaved in his kennel, he is eager to snuggle down into his bed of blankets after a hard day of play.

As you would expect from his breed, Ollie does have a high prey drive and therefore can’t live in a home with cats or other small animals.  On walks, Ollie can pass other dogs with no issues but we feel he is best suited to a home as the only dog.  He can live with older dog-savvy children.

Ollies future family need to be aware of his prey drive and be vigilant on walks. He will need to be kept on lead and encouraged away from wildlife and small animals as part of his ongoing training.

Lurchers truly make wonderful pets.  If you want to fill your home with love and companionship Ollie is the boy for you.  You could change Ollie’s life by giving him a loving home that he can call his own, and in return he will give you boundless affection and joy, and may well change your life too!
