Jeffrey is such a genuine, lovely cat. He came to us with severe issues with his skin and eyes. He has been in foster with two separate people while his skin was treated and both have said that they will miss him so much. He is very friendly and doesn’t like to be left on his own for too long. He loves to play and explore and discover new things. When he’s not out and about, he can be found keeping a close eye on the youngsters in the cattery.
It has taken a long time but Jeffrey's skin issues are now mostly sorted. We think that he is allergic to chicken and most cat foods, even the allergy specific ones, contain traces of chicken. He is now on a diet of single protein meats and will need to stay on a low dose of steroids to keep everything under control.
Taken into the PDSA as a stray, Jeffrey was originally adopted from another rescue but they do not accept returns after 6 months in a home. The original owner could no longer keep the him.
Great family cat but probably best with older children. He may ideally fit in to a vegan household as that would guarantee the he wouldn't come in to contact with anything contain chicken if he decided to raid cupboards or eat scraps! He would have to still remain on his meat diet however.
Jeffrey is an interesting case, a wonderful cat full of personality and has been with us far too long. If you think you might be the right person for him you can drop by to see him or give us a call to have a chat and get more information.
