Hector
23 Apr, 2026
Meet Hector,
This charming lad came to us as a stray who was neutered through Phoenix Cat Trust but wasn’t suitable for returning to where he was caught.
Hector has tested positive for FIV. This is a immunodeficiency virus that cats can catch from fighting with others that are infected. The risk is much higher for unneutered males as they are more likely to fight over territory. This virus can cause them to be more vulnerable to illness but with very easy care can lead totally normal lives.
Due to this, Hector will need an indoor home with someone who is willing to keep his vaccines and parasite prevention up to date as well as take him for regular vet check ups.
Hector is a very sweet, chatty boy who will roll over while having a fuss. He has been used to a life on the streets so is transitioning to life inside (and doing very well). He doesn’t take the best care of his coat so is always looking a little scruffy and going forward will need someone that is able to help him out with a bit of brushing.
If you wish to give Hector a loving home, please complete the cat application form here
