Dainty Dot really is just that - a little dot! This adorable little girl weighs just 3.8kg and has found herself in our care as her owner could not afford to give her the veterinary treatment that she needed.

Dot came to us suffering from a chronic skin condition, most likely caused by untreated fleas. Due to this she was bald on most of her back and her skin was inflamed and itchy when she first arrived with us. However she has responded to treatment wonderfully and most of her fur has already began to grow back. She is starting to look and feel so much better! Although Dot has already come a long way, it is important that her new owner is financially secure to be able to continue supporting her skin condition as she may need medication on/off for the rest of her life. In addition to this we would advise that she is fed a hypo-allergenic diet.

Dot is just the sweetest, tiniest little lady who is absolutely full of character. She currently lives in our staff room and keeps us thoroughly entertained! She liked to tuck herself under her favourite blanket but will peep her nose out the minute she detects a crisp packet being opened! She is an affectionate girl who would make the perfect little lap dog.

Dot would be best suited to a quiet household with someone around for most of the day. Please do not be fooled by her age as she is remarkably active and enjoys long walks and playing fetch!

Dot was used to visiting children in her last home and we feel that she could live with sensible children over the age of 10. She has also lived with another dog and could live with a compatible dog in her next home, however due to her tiny size we would be looking to place her in a home with dogs of a similar size who will not overpower her. She does not like cats.

Dot's teeth were not in the best condition when she arrived and she underwent dental surgery at the rescue on 5th February, resulting in 5 teeth having to be removed. As she is not yet spayed unfortunately we will need to wait for her next season then once she is ready for surgery she can return to us for this. The cost of which will be included in the adoption fee so please do not let this deter you from offering this sweet girl a home.

Overall Dot is a lovable little girl who will make the most adorable, entertaining companion.
