Buddy was originally found as a stray and came to us via a local pound in September last year.  He was rehomed in January but has sadly been returned as he was starting to snap at people in the home and did bite on several occasions.
Whilst in kennels Buddy had never shown any aggressive behaviour and often went home with a member of staff for breaks away from the kennel environment. He was always perfectly well behaved and we are very saddened to hear how his behaviour has changed since then.

Buddy is quite an anxious dog and can become easily stressed. We feel that the household was too busy for him and could have been a big factor as to why he was starting to become snappy. When he did snap it was usually when he was disturbed whilst in his bed.
With several people in the home coming and going it can prove difficult for a dog to feel settled. We desperately feel that with some consistency in a calm, quite household Buddy will soon settle.

Buddy shares his walks here with other dogs and we believe that he could live with a calm dog, however he does not like cats.

Overall Buddy is quite a worried little boy who finds kennel life difficult. When you go to leave his kennel he will spin in circles and chase his tail. He is such a sweet dog, whose true character begins to shine away from this environment. He is very friendly, affectionate and loves to play. His new owner must be prepared to make several trips to and from the rescue in order to spend some quality time with him and build a bond before adoption.
We are looking for a strict adult only home with little visitors and no visiting children. He would benefit from a home with someone around for most/all of the day but is also happy to be left for a couple of hours. He has suffered with ear problems in the past and becomes quite upset when he sees the vet so does need to be muzzled.

Buddy is still a young boy with bags of potential and we hope that the right home can see past his issues and help him to become a well-balanced, happy dog.
