When we took this beautiful 5 year old pair in 6 weeks ago, we felt a lump on Skittles mammary glands. We scheduled an operation to remove the lump and biopsy. Unfortunately, it is and has spread to her lymph nodes. Our vets have estimated she has 9-12 months – this is just an estimate and she could decline earlier or last much longer.

We are looking for a home that is willing to have both girls – to have Skittles as a paliative foster and to adopt Nibbles and keep her after her sister has passed. We know that this is a difficult and very emotional prospect for someone but it is a beautiful thing to do for a cat in need.

They are both very sweet girls who love to nose into everything, give lots of slow blinks and make us laugh with their daft antics. We are heartbroken that Skittles’ life will be cut short but we want her to have the love and comfort of a home for all the time she can.

Ideally the home would have no other pets but we will consider a home with other cats that can be slowly introduced. They will be fine with cat-savvy children.

We will provide anything that Skittles will need and she will be under the care of our veterinary team.
